I see only one machine in summary page instead of two.

amccloud 8 years ago updated 8 years ago 3
I'm using Intellij IDEA plugin at work and at home, but on my summary page i see only one machine on the list. (I'm guessing that I should see two.)
Should I do something more than entering two different names in "Machine name" field in plugin?

Badges!

If you can make "badges" for us, similar to what it is shown in the codeivate setup screen in IntelliJ, then we would benefit and the tool would have viral and free advertising!

"Access denied" in title of "Your summary" page

Valentine Andreev 8 years ago updated 8 years ago 2
On the Your summary page, the title says:
Access Denied / User log in | Codeivate - real-time social coding. [beta]
The rest of the page looks fine, though.

This only appears on Your summary, and not on summaries of different users (<http://codeivate.com/summary/username>).

Allow usernames to be changed.

Joshua Kolden 9 years ago updated by Paul Sinclair 9 years ago 0

When I signed up I wasn't sure I wanted to share my stats, now that I do I'd like to change my username (I could see wanting to change your name for the for the opposite also).  Also when someone moves companies, and has a new username it would be nice to change this one so it lines up.

Hi Joshua,

Thanks for the idea. For now email me paul@codeivate.com from the email address you signed up with your old username and the new one you would like and I can change it for you.

Cheers,

- Paul

Summary in code editor

DBoy Daniel 7 years ago 0
I'm starting to like this tool, but before I commit. I'd like to request a feature. Going to a webpage is such a hassle from time to time. I'm suggesting that you have toolbar button in whichever the editor I.E phpStorm with tabs similar to project tabs etc. Where you can simple click it an see your stats maybe not in detail like the summary webpage but enough relevant info something like phpStorms PHPStat plugin.

Negative coding time percentage.

Alexander Bogdanov 7 years ago updated by Paul Sinclair 7 years ago 2
Hello.
I have netgative percents of coding time (see screenshot).
I suppose that could happen because of daylight time. Because i.e. now "Last Coding" section shows "17:58" for me, but my local time is only 17:53.

Create a codeivate code editor

Michael Calkins 9 years ago 0

I imagine if you had more control over the code editor you could create a better gaming experience.

AngularJS + https://github.com/rogerwang/node-webkit = Codeivate Code Editor

Demos: https://github.com/zcbenz/nw-sample-apps

Specifically: https://github.com/zcbenz/nw-sample-apps/tree/master/mini-code-edit

This could even be a premium option so that you could fuel this project more instead of doing it in off hours.

Write once and is available to: Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Come up with a $$$ value on your programming

Michael Calkins 9 years ago 0

For all the code you're writing create some sort of monetary score that is equivalent to how much you're programming is "worth".

How much value in $$$ is the code you're writing worth.

How could the code you're writing "potentially" create more $$$ (figuratively) if you did it "this way" or learned "this language".

This creates a focus on how you can become more "valuable" as a programmer and the 10,000 concept so you have a combination of "value + experience" which could describe your "value/cost/price/etc." as a programmer.
