Community plugin creation

Is there plans to allow community plugin creation for editors or IDEs?

Woud be great to allow users to write their own plugins for preferred IDE/Editor.

Maybe the basic documentation could be put on github? I'm sure people would be willing to help improve the docs as well as add contributions to plug in their favorite tools ;-)
