API

Are there plans for an API to pull the collected stats from my account? Would be awesome for integration into personal dashboards or widgets and such.

Hi Ghostface, yes this is definitely planned :)

The first cut will be a widget you can put on your own blog / site.

First version is up check the blog for details:

I have slightly modifed the array the is returned adding in points for each language, and total time spent on each platform. This will also allow for more things to be added in the future.

Sweet! Preferably a REST approach with JSON output - but I can work with whatever you come up with :)

Could we get it to access the leaderboard to? So we could list everyone who is programming, or in a streak. Access to the user base for stats determined by filters.  I'm sure there's some cool apps that could come out of that!

Another recommendation: webhooks

trello makes some good points about their API having problems being polled.

What about an API for pushing stats? That way, developers could make more addons (i.e. Vim, Emacs, eclipse, etc.)
I don't have public docs for the upload API but I am open to the idea of people writing plugins, if you want to write one let me know paul@codeivate.com
